Running the site yourself, day to day

Everything you need to add, edit and manage listings on fiskardoproperties.gr without needing us for every small change — plus a clear picture of what it costs to keep the site running.

Getting in

Logging in

No account to remember, no separate password to keep safe — you sign in with your email.

  1. Go to the admin address

    fiskardoproperties.gr/admin, from your phone, tablet or laptop.

  2. Click "Email me a login link"

    A sign-in link arrives in your inbox within a minute or two.

  3. Open the email and click the link

    You're straight into the listings screen — no password needed. The link expires after 15 minutes for security, so request a fresh one if it's been sitting a while.

If email is ever down or the link doesn't arrive, there's a "use password instead" option on the login screen as a backup — we'll give you that password separately and keep it somewhere safe (not in an email or text).
Day to day

Managing your listings

Your listings live under three tabs at the top of the admin:

Active   live on the public site    Drafts   hidden until you're ready    Sold   kept on record, marked sold

  1. Add a property

    Click "Add property," fill in the details — title, village, price, description, bedrooms and so on — and save. Leave it as a Draft if it's not ready for the world to see yet; switch it to Active whenever you are.

  2. Edit or delete

    Open any listing from the list to change anything about it, or delete it entirely if it's no longer needed.

  3. Mark it Sold

    Change its status to Sold rather than deleting it — it moves to the Sold tab and comes off the public site, but stays on record.

  4. Feature a property

    Tick "Featured" to have it shown first on the homepage with a star badge — handy for a new listing or one you want extra eyes on.

One thing we're still chasing: occasionally the add-property window has glitched and dropped back to the listings screen while you're partway through. We haven't been able to make it happen on purpose yet to fix it. Until we run it down — save in shorter bursts if you can, and if it happens to you, note roughly what you'd typed and let us know so we can catch it.
Photos & descriptions

Photos, write-ups and paperwork

Each listing has a main photo, a gallery, and a description — with a couple of optional one-click extras.

Uploading photos

Pick a file for the main photo or gallery and it's automatically resized and compressed for you. Very low-resolution photos are rejected with a note, so the site always looks sharp.

For an older or slightly soft photo, one click sharpens and enlarges it.

✨ Spell check & rewrite (optional)

One click tidies spelling, grammar and phrasing in a description — it won't change any facts, prices or figures.

Energy certificate

Upload a photo or scan of the certificate and a "View energy certificate" link appears on the listing automatically. Leave it blank and the link simply doesn't show.

Location

Setting the map pin

Every listing shows its location on a map. You can set this by typing an address and pressing enter, or just clicking the spot on the map itself — the pin can be dragged afterwards to fine-tune it.

New: if a property is in a village that isn't in the list yet, choose "+ Add new village…" from the Village dropdown, type its name, click its location on the map, and save — it's instantly available for this listing and every one after it. No need to ask us to add a village by hand anymore.

Two kinds of cost: fixed running costs (hosting and the domains), and the optional AI extras above, which only cost anything when you actually use them.

Domain and hosting figures are typical ranges to plan around, not an exact bill — the real number depends on the registrar and current Vercel pricing, so we'll confirm exact figures against the actual invoices before anything renews. The €0.05 photo/spell-check rate is exact, not an estimate — you'll get an itemised invoice by email each month showing exactly what was used and the total.
